NOTES:-
* The Hasmonian, Herod Agrippa, acquired all the territory that had been held by his grandfather, "Herod the Great" as follows (Daniel 7:24) :-
  1) When Philip died (AD 37) Agrippa I persuaded Caligula to give him Philip's territory. This would normally have gone to Philip's heir.
  2) He then persuaded Caligula to give him Antipas' territory (AD 39).
  3) Lastly he persuaded the next emperor, Claudius, to give him Judaea (AD 41).
Herod Agrippa persecuted the church, to the delight of the Jews (Acts 12:1-4, Daniel 7:21), for three and a half years (Daniel 7:25. AD 41-44). He was proud and boastful (Daniel 7:25). Consequently God smote him (Acts.12:20-22). He was the last king of Judaea. That was the end to Judaea as a kingdom (Daniel 7:22, 26) but the kingdom of the saints prospered (Daniel 7:22, 27, Acts 12:24).
