Elevated above all the visions of chapters 5 to 22, beyond the sea of
glass, is the Almighty on the throne. Before the throne are seven burning
lamps. The Almighty is praised from the four sides by the four living creatures.
Twenty-four enthroned elders encircle the Almighty's throne. Right in the
midst is the lamb, stood as though he has been slain. This is giving rise
to the elders' new song and to reverberant accolades for the one sitting
enthroned and for the worthy little
Lamb. [chapters 4 and
5]
As we study Revelation, we must always have this vision elevated before
us.
