| REVELATION CHAPTER 21 continued |
9And one of the seven angels came to me who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come here, I will show you the bride, the little Lamb's wife. 10And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11Having the glory of God: and her light was like a most precious stone, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; 12And it had a great and high wall, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 Three gates on the east ; three gates on the north; three gates on the south; and three gates on the west. 14And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the little Lamb.
15And he who talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and its gates, and its wall. 16And the city lies foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. 17And he measured its wall, a hundred forty four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
18And the building of its wall was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. 19And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; 20The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. 21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, even as transparent glass.
22And I saw no sanctuary there: for the Lord God Almighty and the little Lamb are its sanctuary. 23And the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God lightened it, and the little Lamb is its light. 24And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light: and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. 25And its gates shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. 26And they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it. 27And in no way shall there enter into it any thing that defiles nor what ever works abomination, or makes a lie: but those who are written in the little Lamb's document of life.
| REVELATION CHAPTER 22 |
1And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the little Lamb. 2In the midst of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bears twelve kinds of fruits, and yields her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the little Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. 5And there shall be no night there; and they need no lamp, nor light of the sun; for the Lord God gives them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
