¹¹And I see another beast coming up out of the land; and he had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon. ¹²And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in the presence of him, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. ¹³And he performs great wonders, so that he might cause fire to descend from heaven on the land in the presence of mankind, ¹⁴And deceives those who dwell on the land by the signs which he himself is given to perform in the presence of the beast; telling those who dwell on the land, to make an image to the beast, which has the wound by the sword, and lives. ¹⁵And is himself given power to give life to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast might both speak, and cause as many as would not perform worship to the beast's image might be killed. ¹⁶And he manipulates all, small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, so that they might receive a mark on their right hand, or on their foreheads: ¹⁷And that no-one might be able to buy or  to sell, not having the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. ¹⁸Here is wisdom. The one having understanding must calculate the number of the beast: for it is humankind* and its number is six hundred and sixty six
