| REVELATION CHAPTER 9 continued |
12One woe is past; and, behold, two more woes are coming in addition to these.
13And the sixth angel sounds, and I hear a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14Saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, Loose the four angels who are bound in the great river Euphrates. 15And the four angels are loosed, who were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for killing the third part of men. 16And the number of the army of the horsemen is two hundred thousand thousand: and I hear the number of them. 17And this is how I see the horses in the vision and those sitting on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issues fire and smoke and brimstone. 18By these three the third part of men are killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which is issuing out of their mouths. 19For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails resemble snakes, and have heads, and with them they offend. 20And the rest of the men who are not killed by these plagues still do not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship* demons, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk: 21Nor do they repent of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
