REVELATION
CHAPTER 6

BACK

1And I watch whilst the little Lamb opens one of the seals, and I hear, as the noise of thunder, one of the four living creatures is saying, "Come and see." 2And I watch and - look! A white horse: and he who is sitting on him is holding a bow; and a crown is given to him: and he goes out conquering and in order that he might conquer.

3And when he opens the second seal, I hear the second living creature is saying, "Come and see." 4And another horse goes forth, a red one: and it is given to him who is sitting on it to remove peace from the earth, in order that they should slay each other: and there is given to him a large sword.

5And when he opens the third seal, I hear the third living creature is saying, "Come and see." And I look, and behold a black horse; and he who is sitting on him is holding a pair of balances in his hand. 6And I hear a voice in the midst of the four living creatures say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and you should not damage the oil and the wine.

7And whilst he opens the fourth seal, I hear the voice of the fourth living creature is saying, "Come and see." 8And I look, and behold a sickly coloured horse: and his name who sits on him is Death, and Hades is following with him. And authority is given to them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with disease, and with the beasts of the earth.

9And whilst he opens the fifth seal, I see under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they were holding: 10And they keep on crying with a loud voice, saying, "For how long, O Lord, holy and true, are you not judging and avenging our blood on those who are residing on the earth?" 11And white robes are given to every one of them; and it is said to them, that they should rest yet for a short while, until both their fellow bonded servants and their brothers, who are about be slain like them.

12And I watch whilst he opens the sixth seal, and, lo, there is a great earthquake; and the sun becomes black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon becomes like blood; 13And the stars of heaven fall to the earth, even as if a fig tree, shaking of a strong wind, is casting her out of season crop of figs. 14And the sky is being removed like a document being rolled up; and every mountain and island are moved out of their places. 15And the kings of the earth, and the ruling classes, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the influential men, and every  bonded servant, and every free man, hide themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 16And are saying to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne, and from the indignation of the little Lamb: 17For the great day of his wrath comes; and who is able to stand?"
