CHAPTER 4

BACK

1After these things I look and see an opened door in the heaven: and the first voice which I hear, like a trumpet talking with me is saying: Come up here, and I will show you things which of necessity occur with (regard to) these (things). 2And immediately I am in the spirit: and See! A throne was being set in the heaven, with someone being sat on the throne. 3And the one who is sitting was to look on like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like an emerald. 4And encircling the throne were twenty four thrones: and on the thrones I saw twenty four elders sitting, clothed in white clothing; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. 5And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. 6And before the throne there was a sea of glass like crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes before and behind. 7And the first living creature was like a lion, and the second living creature like a calf, and the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.

8And the four living creatures had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes: and they do not rest, day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come. 9And when those living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who sat on the throne, who lives for ever and ever, 10The twenty four elders fall down before him who sat on the throne, and worship him who lives for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for you have created all things, and for your purpose they are and were created.

CHAPTER 5

BACK

1And I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a document written and on the  front and the back, sealed with seven seals. 2And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the document, and to loose its seals? 3And no man in heaven, nor in earth, nor under the earth, was able to open the document, nor to look in it. 4And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the document, nor to look in it. 5And one of the elders is saying to me, Stop crying. Look! The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, triumphs to be able to open the scroll, and to loosen its seven seals.

6And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a little Lamb stood as though it had been killed, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God being sent forth into all the earth. 7And he comes and has taken the document out of the right hand of him who sat on the throne. 8And when he takes the document, the four living creatures and twenty four elders fall down before the little Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. 9And they are singing a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the document, and to open its seals: for you are slain, and redeem us to God by your blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10And have make us kings and priests to our God: and we shall reign on the earth. 11And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the living creatures and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; 12Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the little Lamb who was killed to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing. 13And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all who are in them, I heard saying, The blessing, and the honor, and the glory, and the power, be to him who sits on the throne, and to the little Lamb for ever and ever. 14And the four living creatures said, Amen. And the twenty four elders fell down and worshipped him who lives for ever and ever.
